Venyard self-assembly is an innovative and sustainable car assembly concept, where original, used parts can be replaced and purchased yourself at fixed, low prices. Van der Ven Autorecycling from Roosendaal developed the software for this itself.
On a large, well-lit and paved area are 1,250 scrap cars, most of them older than 14 years. For such cars, it is not worth having all parts in stock. After a digital check-in, customers receive an interactive stock map, which shows them the way to a car from which they then dismantle the necessary parts themselves. Basically, they use their own tools to do this, but renting is also possible. All parts are sold at a fixed, low price. For example, regardless of type, model or make, a headlight always costs €28.
The process is fully supported by software developed in-house, which provides up-to-date reports and overviews of available parts. E-mail alerts tell customers when a car with the part they are looking for has arrived. This helps keep marketing costs down. With this concept, used, original car parts from older years remain accessible at a competitive price. And that fits in seamlessly with the idea of sustainability.
